Jamie and Claire have waited patiently for this beautiful day. This English gent met his NYC gal on holiday and it was an instant connection. After three years of a long distance relationship, Claire moved across the pond. Considering they have friends and family from around the globe, it made sense to have the wedding in the central hub of New York. The wedding had a theme of melding cultures, so there were plenty of stars and stripes and union jacks incorporated into the decor.
As Claire searched for venues, she found the Buttermilk Falls Inn. This quaint upstate location has a sweeping view of the Hudson, gorgeous landscaping, and animals roaming everywhere. It was the perfect place to bring everyone together for a long weekend.
Claire walked down the aisle to Here Comes the Sun. The ceremony was so tender, and featured original pieces by the couple’s friends.
After the ceremony, people were ready to party! A quick stroll down the lane revealed the lovely barn where delicious treats like chicken and waffles were waiting. Guests visited the animals and enjoyed reconnecting with old friends. We whisked the couple away to take advantage of the fairy tale grounds.
After dinner and some spirited speeches, it was time for the dance. The whole crew had been looking forward to this party for a long time and didn’t wait a second to tear up the dance floor. John and I were kept busy just trying to keep up with the antics!
Jamie and Claire, thank you so much for having us photograph your destination wedding! We are so honored you chose us and had a wonderful experience. Enjoy your sneak peek!
