Ned and Gina were married today!
These college sweethearts met because they were members of their college track team, so sports/love analogies abounded. What was clear about the two of them was that they were head over heals for each other and dearly loved by their friends and family. We truly enjoyed getting to hang out with their crew and getting to know everyone. The ladies and Gina’s family got ready at a private home while Ned and his buds utilized Heimie’s Haberdashery’s uber cool back rooms to prep for the big day. Everything was incredibly relaxed and joyful.
Gina’s dress flew from Detroit, and apparently caused spontaneous applause when it was stored on the plane. And, oh my, that gown deserved applause, and Gina wore it flawlessly. Her bridesmaids wore BHLDN tops with Revelry blush tulle skirts, romantic and soft, yet modern.
The ceremony took place at Church of the Assumption. Full of tender moments, it was lovely to witness.
Then it was time to hop into the party bus and zip all over town getting awesome portraits! The group was SUPER EXCITED! And seriously such a blast to work with.
Our picture adventures ended at Harriet Island Pavilion, where the couple arrived to a cheering crowd and went right into their first dance.
Gina and Ned used light wispy summery colors with an infusion of romance for their day. The custom invitation suite by Jess Bruggink perfectly set the tone. Wildflower bouquets and centerpieces designed by Leitner’s Garden Center further carried out the theme. With lawn games, fresh delicious food from The Deco Catering, donuts from A Baker’s Wife, a warm breeze and gorgeous sunset, this reception was simply romantic summer perfection.
Gina and Ned, we are so blessed to have been a part of your wedding day! Thank you for having us tell your story. Enjoy your sneak peek!
