While in Hawaii for a destination wedding, I also photographed a lovely family.  I drove about forty minutes up the cost to Lahaina as the sun rose with the windows down and a delicious coffee, it was pure heaven.  As the sun started to rise over the mountains, we headed out to the beach…when kids are used to Minnesota time, they’ve already been up for a few hours by Hawaii sunrise!  Trying to get an 18 month old feisty ball of energy still enough to look at the camera when she’d rather be playing in the sand is quite a bit of work!  I think we were all sweating by the end!  Luckily, most of the session involved running from the waves and lots of snuggles and kisses.  I love photographing families on vacation, it gives them extra tangible memories to look at as the years go by.
