Cory and Erin were married today!
We had such a great time with this couple. Their wedding was the perfect mix of quirky and sophisticated…just like them. There was a lot of personality and joy present today. We started off with the guys and girls getting ready followed by a very sweet first sight.
The color scheme was a modern palette of gray, peach, and poppy, with a lot of metallic details. Sadie’s Couture Floral did a fabulous job with the bouquets, they were soft yet bright and vibrant at the same time. And then there was Erin’s beautiful blush colored gown from The Wedding Shoppe. She literally turned heads walking around downtown St. Paul.
One way that Cory and Erin made this day unique was with their timeline. The majority of our portrait time was with just the two of them. They were able to concentrate on themselves as a couple and have the day be more relaxed. It also allowed us to go to some great locations and get some really awesome images.
Why wear layers and layers of tulle? Because you can do THIS…
These two weren’t shy to do some dramatic images…we were in heaven!
I adore this picture =)
After portraits, we headed to the Minnesota History Center for the ceremony and reception.
The reception had some really fun details and emphasized the modern side of the design. The invitations and table numbers created by Papyrus were modern and streamlined with a perfect hint of poppy color.
Gateaux, Inc. designed a custom stencil for the wedding cake, and embraced the soft colors of the day. The shimmer on the cake was so lovely, the delicate design matched Erin’s gown perfectly.
Bon Appetit served up fun appetizers at the cocktail hour, including mini BLTs.
From a string quartet at the ceremony, to a jazz ensemble for the cocktail hour, to a jazz band for the reception, this day was full of lovely music.
Cory and Erin, thank you so much for having us tell the story of your day (and being so adventurous with pictures!). We had a wonderful time and hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
