We tried…

…jumping, singing, peek-a-boo, tickles, running, favorite stuffed animals, playing, bribes of raspberries, bribes of popsicels, bribes of baking cookies, changing out of mom’s choice of outfit into her choice of outfit, playing, hanging upside down, playing, going for a walk, smelling flowers, playing, giving of said popsicle, reading books…and in the end, as the smell of fresh baked cookies filled the air and it was time for me to go, she let me take her portrait without running away.  And it is awesome.  You keep on doing you, Elise.
