“I’m marrying my best friend today!!!” sang Natasha as she came skipping into the room. Throughout the pandemic, this couple had hoped they could still bring their loved ones together and celebrate their marriage, and they had pulled it off! Family and friends from around the world quarantined and traveled to Minnesota to share in the festivities. From the very beginning Tasha and Jordan focused on the sacred connection of loved ones, and every detail of their wedding was full of intention and meaning.
Family and friends DIYed most of the decor, with everyone pitching in to arrange flowers and set up at The Trailhead in Minneapolis. Being in a vast park yet in the heart of the city fully encompasses the lifestyle and passions of these two, and they made the space their own with a custom built altar full of meaningful items like ocean water from the bride’s native Costa Rica to the fabrics used during their handfasting.
Jordan and Tasha have a whimsy to their relationship. A beautiful in-tuned fantastic weirdness that binds them together and what was essential to their initial attraction. They brought their personalities and joy into every piece of this wedding. It wasn’t a surprise to see a spontaneous vow snuggled up in the grass, or a jubilant dance when they were declared married (and of course their dog joined in), or a bee photobombing our bride while she looked like a goddess during portraits.
Butterflies and dragonflies fluttered around and kids squealed and played until they were muddy and sweaty. Beautiful speeches were given, facetime with loved ones in other countries happened, and there were so many happy tears. Tender and heartfelt and real. That is Jordan and Natasha.
