Jason and Shayla were married today!

We were constantly told what amazing people these two are…how fun and adventurous, how loved.  After spending the day with them and their friends, we definitely saw that for ourselves!  The day was a whirlwind, full of excitement and laughter.

The below zero temps kept us indoors for most of our portraits, but when you have a place like this to photograph in, we didn’t mind one bit.  Check out this kick ass wedding party!

The ceremony took place at the Basilica of St Mary.  Shayla has a few quiet moments with her maid of honor before walking down the aisle.

The Basilica is a stunning house of worship, and even more so around Christmas.  With all the greenery and winter decor, it was gorgeous in there, and a joy to photograph.

The wedding party hopped into a limo and we cruised Minneapolis, with a couple brief jaunts outside for a few portraits.  There was a lot of huddling close!

Our warm up afterwards was at a local bar where the group hung out, played pool and imbibed a bit…but the craziest times were in the limo.

The reception took place at the Minneapolis Event Centers.  The rooms were full of candlelight and sparkles.  There was a winter wonderland theme going on, and Bel Fiore did an amazing job with the decor and floral.  The food was delicious, the drinks free flowing, the speeches full of hijinks, and the dance floor was packed.  What a night!
