Little Cookie Monster

Erin and Cory chose the perfect summer evening for their family pictures. Their little dude is so adorable, and was ready for his one year old portraits. We learned that he isn’t the biggest fan of grass, but is ready to jump into a fountain at any time…he is definitely a mover and a shaker! Extra bonus, I learned some of the new Sesame Street songs (its been a while since I’ve watched that show with my littles!). Here are my favorites from the session…

The light was just spectacular!

Isn’t he the cutest?!?! I had to work hard to capture that smile, but it turns out, all he needed was Mom and Dad singing a song about cookies.

Patrick and Heidi

Pat and Heidi got married today!

This sweet summer Saturday was made all the sweeter with a tender ceremony in a quiet garden at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Heidi and Pat chose a small intimate ceremony that focused on joining their two families together. Their attendants were their siblings and the cutest ring bearers and flower girls ever were their nieces and nephews. Heidi looked amazing in her lace gown from Che Bella and the couple chose muted hues of grey, blue, pink and ivory which gave everything a soft summery feel.

Family headed out while we stuck around the Arboretum to take advantage of the gardens in full bloom.

This image truly defines Heidi and Pat, I love it so much.

We then headed to Pat and Heidi’s house, to photograph them in their natural element, and to include their cute dog in some portraits! Considering they fell in love in the backyard of this house, it was very fitting to use the space for some pictures.

Friends and family arrived at Five Event Center to celebrate with the couple. It was beautifully decorated with soft romantic pinks and ivory and mercury glass. The Zacc Harris Trio entertained guests with jazz music as everyone enjoyed the amazing meal from Deco Catering. The evening was filled with laughter and great conversation, two things that naturally surround Heidi and Pat.

Jack is “so big!”

After a very rainy and dismal spring, we had the perfect day today. And I was so excited that today was Jack’s portrait session! The trees were blooming, the light was perfect, and Jack was ready to explore.

Paul and Kelly are so fun! They are fantastic parents and I enjoyed just watching them interact with their little boy. We kept the session very unstructured and focused on exploring (key for toddler portrait sessions) and had so much to look at and do that the hour flew by. Jack showed us all his one year old tricks, how he can smell flowers, clap, say he is so big, smell more flowers, throw rocks…what a life! =)
