Adam and Becky had their engagement session today in Edina! This outdoor loving couple decided to ice skate for part of their session, I was so thrilled. They make skating look so easy! But first we did some romantic pictures off the ice. Becky had gotten all dolled up at Brett Dorrian Artistry Studios, and she and Adam looked just picture perfect. We took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather and were out without jackets, in January! I love how the images turned out, full of fun and warmth.

Ready for Spring

Today I got to do one of my favorite things, photograph food. Mozza Mia in Edina is encouraging spring to finally arrive in Minnesota with a delicious menu of colorful, fresh and delicious dishes.

They are known for their brick oven pizzas, and the smell of the ovens as they started up was amazing. It was fun to see the kitchen starting production for the day, making the fresh dough and prepping for their guests.

Though pizza is their staple, Mozza Mia also has a beautiful assortment of tasty salads and also a great date night offering including wine and gelato and movie tickets to the Edina theater!

And the amazing smell of this chicken dish made it tough not to eat it right then and there!

Head down to Mozza Mia, it is a great place for families and dates alike! They have a great menu that gives you quite the bang for your buck!

Mozza Mia

Today I photographed Mozza Mia, inside and out.

I love these types of assignments because I get to show my love of architecture AND my love of food in the images. Mozza Mia is a pizzeria and mozzarella restaurant in the 50th and France neighborhood where they hand make their mozzarella daily and fire bake their pizzas. It is a very family friendly, relaxed space, yet the food is anything but ordinary. I came to photograph their private dining space as well as the dining room, and afterwards, I got to enjoy my very own caprese salad. You see, I feel that it is very important for me to blog the truth, and I must taste the food to blog about the restaurant, right? ; ) Well, I can certainly vouch that their mozzarella is amazing. And sitting in their outdoor space feels like a European sidewalk cafe on a warm summer night.
