Travis and Emily were married yesterday!!!
Normally, I blog the night of the wedding, but by the time I got home from the after party, I was spent! This wedding was full energy from start to finish, a group of friends and family that were on a complete love high all day. It was absolutely palpable.
We enjoyed every premise of this wedding. Travis and Emily wanted it to be family focused and a big party. Everyone in their community pitched in to create this day, from baking 400 cookies for dessert to decorating the hall to officiating, this large family was all about showing their love to this couple in every way possible. The day was full of happy tears, huge smiles, tons of laughter and crazy awesome dance moves.
The way Travis and Emily love each other is in full view of anyone who has met them. Giddy, solid, passionate love in every fiber of who they are. You can’t help smiling when you see them together. And their blended group of friends are all so loving and fun, it was such a joy being a part of their day. We started off with a sweet first look (first with the bridesmaids and then with Travis), and a bit of a walk around St Paul for pictures before heading to the Dakota Lodge for the ceremony.
Can you just feel the anticipation between these two? It was an awesome moment.
The ladies looked dynamite in the gray gowns of their choosing.
Insert wolf whistle here…
At the Dakota Lodge we took advantage of the gorgeous prairie grasses and woods for a few more pictures.
This venue is kind of a hidden gem in St Paul, right in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Lovely and laid back, it was the perfect setting for this wedding…and the kids loved playing in the space. Emily made sure there were plenty of fun activities for everyone.
Time to get married…Emily needed a moment to breathe.
MARRIED! NAILED IT!
Then it was time to party! A pig roast dinner (and generous open bar) got the ball rolling and the dance was crazy fun!
Travis and Emily, thank you so much for having us be a part of your day. We had a marvelous time photographing it!!! Enjoy your sneak peek!
