Krista and Claire were married today!
These two are quirky, fun, and low key. They wanted a day that was very personal, and their wedding at Carleton College was just that. With a design theme around their love of cats, to the presence of meaningful music throughout the day, Krista and Claire invited their friends and family into their world, and they did it beautifully. We started the day off with a first look at the chapel and then a short visit to downtown Northfield.
We happened to run into a some friends while there…
Krista wore a romantic lace gown from The Wedding Shoppe, and Claire’s fabulous suit was made by 9 Tailors. We took most of our portraits on the stunning Carleton campus, which luckily had quite a bit of shade to hang out in as the day got warmer.
Even the flower girl needed some time to cool off before the ceremony!
The ceremony was very meaningful and intentional, the words and thoughts expressed were so lovely.
Various shades of lavender were used throughout the day (the delicious cake was from Angel Food Bakery), as was the theme of cats, which was referenced in every speech tonight.
One speech got a tad embarrassing 😉
Midwest Sound started the evening off with a first dance and then continued to keep the guests happy with a wide range of music from indie rock to show tunes to 90s dance classics to Jock Jams. This crowd had a really great time on the dance floor!
Krista and Claire, thank you so much for having us tell the story of your day! We were honored to be a part of it. Enjoy your sneak peek!
