Alan and Alice were married today!
From carousels to paddle boats to the lindy hop, this couple did it all today! Saint Paul was actually a destination wedding for almost everyone, and made a wonderful central location. After planning a wedding long distance, Alice and Alan were ready to kick back and relax on their wedding day. Alice started her day getting ready with Meghan Lee Artistry and then we headed out for some fun portraits.
The day couldn’t have been more beautiful! Warm and breezy, it was an ideal Minnesota late summer day.
After family portraits it was time for the ceremony at Black Bear Crossings on the Lake. I love this picture of Grandma tring to entertain the flower girl before walking down the aisle! The ceremony music was performed by Lake Minnetonka String Quartet, my favorite was the theme from Game of Thrones.
Alan and Alice incorporated parts of her family’s heritage into the ceremony, including readings in mandarin and a tea ceremony.
YEAH! Lets totally hop into a paddle boat in our wedding outfits =)
After dinner, Alice changed into a cute red dress so she could dance the night away in comfort. There were sweet speeches, a PhotoMingle booth, and an ice cream sundae bar to round out the evening. The couple are avid dancers and had Midwest Sound play quite the eclectic mix of music from hip hop to the waltz. It was so fun watching everyone dance!
Alan and Alice, thank you so much for having us be a part of your day! Enjoy your sneak peek!
