This weekend it was time for another family session with Dylan and Luke! When I saw the awesome bright colors mom dressed them in, I had to pull out my little green chair and make use of the guard rail along the river.
I really enjoy working with this family, especially since they trust me to pick locations, so I get to shoot in places not normally used for family sessions. Though the river and busy road required a little more vigilance in keeping an eye on these two spirited boys, we were able to get some really neat textures and colors in the pictures.
When there are leaves around, it is pretty much a requirement to throw some at your brother…
What blue eyes you have!
So while Luke is into football and sports, Dylan (the younger) is REALLY into the Hulk. Mom kept having to say, “honey, lets put Hulk away for a moment” ; ) They are both so animated and full of energy, and really love playing together.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you…Hulk Smash!
What a sweet, happy family! Enjoy your sneak peek!
I would like to introduce little Greta, she is beyond adorable.
Though it was pretty windy and cold, Greta and her parents had a great session. Since they love the artistic gritty look of urban spaces, we used a spot that I have always wanted to shoot full of textures and interesting colors.
Greta even got to read her favorite book!
We balanced out the urban feel with some time in the prairie grass as well. It was a joy watching this loving family play together!
What lovely expressions she has =)
Thank you for braving the elements with me today! Enjoy your sneak peek =)
Fred and Karn had a portrait session today to celebrate their 50 years of marriage!
Though not big fans of being on the subject side of the camera, they were very fun to work with. I even got Fred to whisper sweet nothings ; ) Seeing their love for each other and their kindness was such a blessing…and I made sure to ask lots of questions about how to stay so happy and in love for fifty years.
Fred and Karn, thank you so much for today. Enjoy your sneak peek and here is to many many more years of wedded bliss!
The last two autumns have not been fun for photographers…because of lack of rain the trees drop their leaves quickly and aren’t as vibrant in color…so hunting for those awesome fall scenes for family portrait sessions is tough! Luckily a friend showed me a secret location and just as luckily, Kelly and her family scheduled their session for a day that wasn’t too cold and we were able to get some gorgeous colors for their background.
I met little Kendall when she was a newborn, and it was amazing to see her so big! She is so darling and can smize already, which is very impressive =)
Though we focused on a nice family portrait we also took individual and various group shots. EVERYONE wanted their picture with Kendall, and I can’t blame them! This is such a warm loving family, and it is obvious how much these siblings adore each other.
