Last week, we had a perfect fall day for family portraits. These two little bundles of energy always keep my on my toes. They enjoyed running around the park, chasing squirrels, and getting snuggles from mom and dad.
Family is Everything
Rachel and her darling daughters ventured north to Minneapolis for the weekend and we were able to squeeze a session into their schedule. Though the ladies would have rather been climbing and doing gymnastics, with some coaxing we got them to sit still long enough to get a few images.
Now back to the fun!
The laughter and fun these three have is infectious. There is so much personality and huge smiles in this family, I don’t know how their house can hold it all!
I asked for a serious face, these two don’t play. They went straight into model mode.
Back to hugs and kisses and smiles and climbing all over Mama!

Little Cookie Monster
Erin and Cory chose the perfect summer evening for their family pictures. Their little dude is so adorable, and was ready for his one year old portraits. We learned that he isn’t the biggest fan of grass, but is ready to jump into a fountain at any time…he is definitely a mover and a shaker! Extra bonus, I learned some of the new Sesame Street songs (its been a while since I’ve watched that show with my littles!). Here are my favorites from the session…
The light was just spectacular!
Isn’t he the cutest?!?! I had to work hard to capture that smile, but it turns out, all he needed was Mom and Dad singing a song about cookies.

Chasing the Sun
Tonight, right before a most glorious sunset, I got to photograph some of my favorite clients in one of my favorite locations. As Finn gets older, less runaround is needed for his session, but we have definitely increased the amount of times we say “butt” or “poop”…ahhhh, five year olds. With goofy faces galore, and LOTS of hunting for bugs, we had a great time and I just love how the images turned out! Check out the favorites!
The end of the session included a reward of looking for tadpoles and exploring.

A Texas family in Minneapolis
Since we are such a referral based business, it is always a new adventure when we get a gig out of the blue. Through the magic of social media, a family from Texas hired Studio Laguna for a session. I love how this family hires a photographer in the places they visit! I love how they cherish their daughters and their family time. And I love that I was able to capture this moment in their history. From Rome to Minneapolis, every moment is worth documenting and I’m honored to have been chosen for this part of the journey!
