One of the most surreal parts of being a family photographer is you see how quickly children grow. I swear I just photographed Miles a couple months ago, yet here he was, almost six already! We had a really fun session, watching Miles’ cool dance moves, coaxing smiles out of Ellie and dodging rain drops. Here is a sneak peek of the session!
Fun in the Snow
Today was another “quick! the snow is awesome! bundle the kids up for a session!” planned over a couple hours =) Snow pictures require some flexibility, but it is so worth it. The clouds were low, it was warm-ish, and the snow was powdery fine. The kiddos did a great job, too!
Mom even got into a couple portraits!
What a little cherub…
Silly Faces!
Mom tried to pull them on a sled, but ended up in the snow herself…the kids loved it =)
Enjoy the sneak peek!
Kisses for Finn
Sweet little Finnegan had his newborn session yesterday!
His parents love salvaging pieces found around the farm, and this antique washing machine takes the cake! Dad assembled this whole piece! It was the perfect size for their little one.
Here is another piece they created for him…
cute little monkey =)
Lots of kisses from loving parents.
This last picture shows Finn in a bassinet that has been used by many generations. I especially love the Love is Sweet sign, which was up at their wedding!
Enjoy your sneak peek!
Darling Brianna
Little Brianna is such a doll! She already has a head of bright red hair, and a darling little smile.
What a doll!
She did a great job with her photoshoot! Enjoy the sneak peek!
Hot Chocolate Mustaches
I LOVE snow! And after the beautiful fairy tale snow storm two days ago, the world was blanketed and the kids and I just drove around oohing and ahhing. So I was excited for a last minute quick portrait session in Minneapolis with one of my favorite families. Planned in just a couple hours, outfits were scrounged together, special hot chocolate was made and we just prayed the kids would be in a good mood all at the same time….which, of course, they were. (I think some bribes of balloons were involved)
We went for an Eddie Bauer/Ragamuffin Chic look.
Silly Faces!
Ok, now smoosh your sister!
I’ve learned that having kids throw snow at you gets the best smiles!
Here comes the hot chocolate =) You should have seen their hot chocolate mustaches!
One last image with the sun streaming in and making the trees sparkle!
