I met two of my favorite clients in St Paul for a portrait session. We had a gorgeous evening and the kids were in great spirits. I love seeing the relationship between these two, they know how to make each other laugh and it is easy to see the love they have for each other.

Tonight was the perfect Minnesotan autumn evening. A giant moon, gorgeous fall colors, a nice breeze…I love this time of year. And what better place to enjoy this evening than at an apple orchard with a fabulous family? When you have an always on the go toddler, it is important to pick a portrait location where they can play…and play we did! How cute is little James?
We found the tractor! It was tough getting James to stop pretending to drive. He could have been there all day.
Mountain climbing also happened…I think this one is my favorite image from the session.

Last summer, George had his newborn session. At that time, the household pup, Ollie, was a little too rambunctious to have in the portraits, so we decided to have a second session to include him. At almost a year old, George is one of the most expressive little guys I’ve ever photographed. And though Ollie really tested the speed of my camera’s focus (half the pictures are just his tail or ear or tongue) he sure loves his new little bro. I was laughing so hard at their antics, they sure keep mom and dad on their toes!

I met these two darling munchkins at Sara and Dan’s wedding up north. Full of personality and humor it is always a treat to photograph them. We met on Sunday in St Paul along the river and enjoyed a walk in the delicious sunshine. Though not too keen on snuggling with his sister, Ben was a trooper and showed affection once and a while…and he sure is adored by his little sis! I love how fun and dynamic these portraits turned out!
We even talked mom and dad into a picture!

Darling little Isley is six months old! Her family was in town and called me up for some portraits, I was so excited to get to meet her! Her mama had a couple really cute outfits for her to wear, including a little 1/2 tutu that matched the pink blanket her grandma made her. She is such a sweet alert little gal that loves making dinosaur noises with mama and cooing at daddy. We had a wonderful time playing with her and coaxing out her awesome smile.
