The first message Martha sent to Klaus was, “I like you already”, and completely encapsulates the relationship of these two. They have eyes for each other, they make each other laugh, they support and strengthen each other, and they have been embraced by their blend of families. Martha asked La Petite Fleur to create vibrant arrangements in the colors of the rainbow to celebrate pride month, and had Lindsay Dukes Artistry glam up the ladies. The day was relaxed and focused on connecting loved ones and sharing in the couples’ favorite things.
In true pandemic style, the ceremony only accompanied a handful of family, everyone vaccinated, and was shared with family around the world on zoom. During the ceremony, a talented opera singer brought guests to tears, especially with one of the groom’s favorite German pieces. After a few portraits around Saint Paul in the 100 degree heat, we were ready to settle in to a beautiful dinner at Saint Dinette, where these two foodies celebrated with some of their favorite dishes.
This restaurant was the location of their first date, and the perfect place to toast to their future!
I wasn’t sure where this image fit in the blog as a storytelling device, but it is one of my favorites of the day and I know Martha likes quirky moments…so I’m just going to put this here 😉
Klaus and Martha, it means the world to me that you asked me to tell the story of your lovely day. Enjoy the sneak peek!!!

I love, love, love these pictures! All of them! I may be partial to the last one of the cousins… Just natural, nothing forced… Just being themselves…
