Sean and Sara were married today!
So, word is on the street that Minnesotan and Wisconsin weddings are different from each other…and we sure saw that today. ‘Sconies can party! With a steady stream of “All About that Bass” playing, there was constant dancing, smiles, and jokes.
These two lovebirds met while working together at a camp, so it was completely fitting that they chose a relaxed summer camp theme for their wedding. I just adored the playful designs used throughout the day created by Design by Mary B, they perfectly set the mood. Sara’s sister-in-law Erin designed the bouquets with the same vibrant summery feel.
Sara and Sean had their first sight on the La Crosse campus, and a nice stroll before the ceremony at Roncalli Newman Parish.
Throughout the entire ceremony, Sean just couldn’t keep his eyes off his beautiful bride.
YESSSSS! We’re married!
La Crosse is such a lovely town! We spent the steamy hot afternoon taking pictures all over, with a stop at a favorite watering hole and also a hop in a fountain to cool off.
Sara is so lovely =)
SO HAPPY!
The reception took place at Pettibone Resort, a camp ground and banquet center right on the river. The camp theme was evident here, from the s’mores table to the Moonrise Kingdom inspired photo booth we set up outside.
After dinner and speeches and a rousing traditional Irish song, it was time to dance…and this group was ready to get down! This dance floor was packed, and I was laughing the entire time as we were taking pictures. Everyone was such a riot and having SUCH a good time. MJ Entertainment did a great job playing oldies but goodies and also sneaking in some classic rock for the bride’s dad.
Sean and Sara, thank you so much for having us tell the story of your day! We had a fabulous time! Enjoy the sneak peek!
