Megan and Julie were married today! Minnetonka Orchards was the perfect location for this nature loving couple. The day started off with the first sight in the orchard with Julie sneaking up on Megan and both of them exclaiming how adorable the other was when they saw each other. Though they never discussed what look they were going for, they both chose flowing ivory outfits from The Wedding Shoppe that matched beautifully.
Julie loves tractors, and we made sure to include Minnetonka Orchard’s extensive collection in our portraits.
Later in the afternoon, it was time for the ceremony. Leslie, of Positively Charmed, created a beautiful ceremony full of tender stories and heartfelt words. Megan and Julie included meaningful music and sweet readings as well as a hand fasting ceremony. Lots of happy tears were shed for this fabulous couple.
During cocktail hour we ran around a bit more using the many beautiful vignettes at the orchard for portraits.
And yes, more tractor time!
Lasting Impressions Weddings designed the wedding, which had a travel theme interwoven with the orchard’s ambiance. A popcorn station and atlas guest book along with lawn games were some of the items that added personalization to the day. Corey Allen Designs created flowers in ivory, green and blue which were so summery and bright.
After a delicious meal of Famous Dave’s BBQ and many visits to the Muddy Paws Cheesecake buffet, Instant Request started off the dance with Etta James’ “At Last”, a song very special to the brides.
As the sun set, we took another stroll through the orchard, what a gorgeous night, and what a lovely couple!
Julie and Megan, we were honored to be a part of your day! Enjoy your sneak peek!

What a great day! I loved that the storms just simply disappeared…and there was also this detail that I adored…
When Julie stepped up she mentioned “wow, it’s a little warm” and I said “there will be a little breeze” and she said “yeah, there will be” (something like that…) and then…all of a sudden, when Megan started walking down the aisle, there was a verrrry pronounced, very cool breeze that came straight down in front of her. It gave me goose bumps! It is part of their day that I won’t forget.
My only regret is that I did not get my hands on the black croquet mallot and do some schooling on the course. I guess I was too busy enjoying popcorn in the most elegant manner. 🙂 ?
