Aaron and Jenny were married today!
We started off the day with a darling first look at their venue, the American Swedish Institute. We took advantage of how the colors and architecture perfectly coordinated with the wedding, and had so much to work with at this fabulous space. Jenny and Aaron’s clean aesthetic was evident in all of their choices to the day, from the clean simple decor to the playful invitation suite designed by A Milestone Paper Co, to the lovely blooms from Molly’s Flower Studio, everything tied in so beautifully.
We hopped in a limo for a drive around Minneapolis, with the music cranked, it was quite the party bus! Pictures were truly a blast, the wedding party was up for anything, so we had a great time getting images.
The ceremony took place at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church. Jenny’s former youth minister performed the ceremony, it was quite lovely. Jenny and Aaron both love music, and chose some gorgeous pieces, including an amazing performance by friends and family. But first, we all got a good chuckle at this exuberant ring bearer….
After the ceremony, we visited the site where Aaron proposed and took a few more portraits before heading back to the American Swedish Institute for the reception.
I just LOVED that the couple chose to have a Ketuba at their wedding. With their vows printed and the signatures of all their guests, this will be a beautiful piece to have in their home. Ketubas are a fabulous way to show your community’s involvement in your marriage.
After a fantastic meal from Slate and Stone, Adagio got the dance started. After the first dance they went into a “good luck dance” where every couple on the dance floor equaled five years of a happy marriage for the couple. With every guest on the dance floor, you could just feel the love.
And then it was time to party!
Aaron and Jenny, thank you so much for having us be a part of your day. We had a marvelous time! Enjoy your sneak peek!
