Brian and Kristen were married today!
The priest quoted Benjamin Franklin during the ceremony, “Marriage isn’t a noun, it is a verb. It isn”t something you get, but something you do…Don’t marry someone you can live with, but someone you can’t live without.” This quote absolutely fits Brian and Kristy, who are quick to laugh, embrace their nerdiness proudly, and who are so loved people traveled from all over the world to be a part of today’s festivities.
St. Paul was just recognized as America’s Most Romantic City, so it was the perfect place for this couple to host their destination wedding. They were able to show off this lovely city to their family who got to enjoy a holiday weekend with a Twins Game and viewing fireworks right from their hotel rooms! Love was definitely in the air when we took Brian and Kristy for a stroll this afternoon to take their portraits.
They had nothing but eyes for each other!
The ceremony took place at Church of the Assumption. Kristy was walked down the aisle by both her parents, it was so sweet!
MARRIED!
Brian and his groomsmen looked so sharp in their tuxes. And they wore boutonnieres made of lavender from a farm near where the couple lives in Pennsylvania. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of the same lavender, so I can honestly say they were the best smelling wedding party I’ve ever worked with!
Brian gave each of the groomsmen a custom set of cufflinks, we had a whole team of superheros.
We also had the cutest ring bearer and flower girl ever =)
Seriously…
The ‘maids wore mint dresses, and the bride carried a bouquet of baby’s breath. The wedding had a modern rustic theme, simple, breezy and summery. Just lovely.
Man, they have fun together!
We took a few romantic shots as well, these two are my favorites.
The reception took place at The Landmark Center. We’ve Got It Covered hung cafe lights over the tables which looked amazing! And the guests were like moths to a flame when they saw the gorgeous Muddy Paws Cheesecake centerpieces! The custom wood piece the cheesecakes were sitting on were made by Girl Friday Styling, they added the perfect finishing touch to the tables. Green Mill Catering provided the delicious dinner, and guests spent a good portion of the evening wining and dining, followed by a crazy fun dance!
Brian and Kristy, thank you so much for having us tell the story of your day! We had an amazing time!
