Scott and Emily were married yesterday!
It isn’t every day your sister gets married. It isn’t every day that you are a bridesmaid AND one of the photographers AND the co-wedding planner…but this was one of those days =) Emily has always been special. Even with all the hardships of her cerebral palsy she has always drawn people to her and influenced lives. She has always had this sparkle in her eyes that just makes you want to make her smile…and man, when she met Scott, her smile went up 1000 watts.
This wedding was a family affair from start to finish. My sister, Stephanie, and I are both in the wedding industry and helped plan and execute the event. Our mom made the wedding gown, dear friend made the wedding shoes, and Scott’s cousin did Emily’s hair. The amazing awesome Carra and Jessica at La Petite Fleur created gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces that were everything Emily dreamed of. Emily and Scott were surrounded by a team of friends and family that love them dearly and wanted to make this day incredibly special.
The couple had their first sight at the hotel before zooming off to New Life Church for the ceremony. Emily’s wedding look got a thumbs up from Scott.
These two are truly best friends…though a little sappy on facebook, but we’ll let that slide 😉
Emily’s Godmother, Cindy, has always been a huge influence in her life. She flew to Minnesota from California to walk Emily down the aisle!
We can not say enough amazing things about the reception venue, Dellwood Country Club. Not only were they incredibly accommodating to a couple in wheelchairs, they went above and beyond to make sure the event went perfectly. You can tell their hearts were truly in what they do.
Lace from Emily’s wedding gown was used to decorate the candles on the mantle, it added that little extra touch of romance. Creative License used spring green on the tables and chairs to make the space look fresh and bright.
Since Scott and Emily had an evening wedding, the reception started right away with dancing and delicious snacks. Lobster grilled cheese anyone?
The first dance was awesome, and the couple sang all the words to each other =) Midwest Sound kept the party going with the couple’s favorite country tunes.
Lots of kids at a wedding means BUBBLES!
Scott and Emily, we’re glad you had such a blast on your wedding day! Enjoy your sneak peek! LOVE YOU BOTH!

My dear Katrina and John, You both worked so hard and everything went perfectly. I can’t wait to see more photos. Also, thank you for fixing up my room at your mother’s house, it was very special to me. I am showing off these photos at work and am so proud of both of you.
Lots of Love, Auntie Paula 🙂
