Hung and Tam were married today!
Hung and Tam first had their Vietnamese ceremony in both of their homes, full of traditional words and delicious food! We covered the entire day of festivities along with United Video, and truly enjoyed every minute of it.
At both homes eight gifts are passed from one family to the other.
Tam loves the color blue, and decided that the wedding would revolve around water. Choosing the Carlson Towers as her venue was perfectly on theme. The ceremony site had them surrounded by water, and the rotunda’s focal point is a bubbling fountain. Rain also played a part in the day, from torrential downpour during the tea ceremony to light mist during pictures…which cleared up just in time for the afternoon ceremony.

La Petite Fleur created a beautiful sweet bouquet with plenty of blue. And just wait until you see what they did with the reception decor!
The sky lightened, guests milled around outside, and Loring String Quartet played classical music as we waited for the bride and groom. Just as people were starting to look around for the bride and groom, the Blue Danube Waltz started to play and the couple arrived…by canoe!
Hung surprised Tam with a lei of her favorite flowers, plumeria.
Tam changed into a gorgeous evening gown for the cocktail hour.
Time to let loose!
Inside, the rotunda looked lovely. The space was draped in white and twinkle lights, with blue uplighting on the columns. A variety of centerpieces bedecked in crystals added height and interest to the room. There was a lot of glowy candlelight and sparkle, and of course, lots of blue.
Then there was the CAKE. A showstopper to be sure. Gateaux did it again and wowed the socks off of everyone! Edible seashells, detailed plumeria, and pearls combined to make a towering work of art.
The reception included bilingual speeches, lots of glass clinking and kissing, and a visit to each table by the couple.
We used one of La Petite Fleur’s seashell accents for the ring shot…love how crisp and clean it is!
To top off the night, Tam and Hung showed off their ballroom skills for their first dance. They were awesome!
What a beautiful night!
Hung and Tam, thank you so much for having us be a part of your day! Enjoy your sneak peek!
