Tad and Lindsey were married today!
Guests arrived from all over the country to witness Tad and Lindsey’s wedding. Many apologies to those Texans who got to experience -23 degrees today! But inside everything was warm and cozy, happy and cheerful. Lindsey started the day off getting ready with her girlfriends and then braved the cold (I think it was a balmy 6 degrees at this point) for a few St Paul skyline pictures.
All morning, Lindsey joked about her long hair making her look like a disney princess, so we couldn’t resist popping into St Paul’s fairy tale castle for a few portraits.
“Prince Charming” even got into a few shots.
Lindsey and her ladies…
Lindsey wore a beautiful ballgown that kept her nice and warm all day and a lovely red coat that really popped against the snow and winter gray of the city. Her wedding was full of unique touches and eclectic bits of DIY projects, from her paper flower bouquet to the ice candle holders at the reception. At Woodbury Lutheran, we grabbed a few more images and then relaxed before the wedding.
Lindsey’s church family is extremely important to her. It was amazing to see the community that she is a part of and the amount of love and support both she and Tad have. Before the ceremony, Lindsey and Tad seperately had a circle prayer with their friends and family. There were many happy tears and kind words, it was wonderful to witness.
With the sanctuary lit mostly by candlelight, Lindsey walked down the aisle to marry Tad. It was a lovely ceremony, with even a few shout outs from the crowd. Everyone was so happy to be a part of this day!
Then, as the temperature dropped to the point where after five minutes we couldn’t feel our fingers…it was time for more outdoor pictures! Yep, those crazy Minnesotans! The first thing Lindsey invisioned for her wedding was a background of twinkle lights. So we gave her twinkle lights, and then some!
We headed back into the warmth at O’Garas, where hearty pub grub and a live band were waiting. Lindsey’s team of pinterest creatives turned the bar’s music venue into a whimsical dance hall, which looked especially great since Avant Decor covered the ceiling in cafe lights! Between the dessert bar, dancing, and The Traveling Photo Booth, there was plenty of fun to be had!
Tad and Lindsey, thank you so much for having us be a part of your day. Enjoy your sneak peek!
