Little Elijah was born today!
It is SUCH a privilege to photograph births. To be present while someone does one of the most difficult, most emotional tasks they will ever do is amazing. And to know that since I’m documenting the journey, it leaves the parents free to just focus on the moment, and that means a lot. Birth photography is less about the biology of it all and more about the emotion and relationships in the room as a new life comes into the world.
This is Angie’s third baby, so she was a pro at this point. With the help of STELLAR staff, Elijah was born in 13 minutes! He was immediately put onto mom’s chest, and snuggled right in with barely a peep.
He was soon joined by his siblings…
…and big sister started taking care of him right away.
The staff at the hospital were amazing, and really wanted to make sure the kids were excited about the new baby!
