John and Fikeemah were married today!
It was a lovely evening at the American Swedish Institute for an intimate wedding ceremony, and John and Fikeemah were sure excited to tie the knot! Since the couple work for the Navy, this was a very red, white and blue affair with a nautical twist….vintage sailor dresses and all!
As the sun was setting the couple exchanged vows in the Turnblad Mansion’s solarium. Many happy tears were shed, and Rev. Kenneth Beale even got a few Amens from family as he talked about the values of marriage. John was so excited to kiss his bride, and Fikeemah was dancing back down that aisle!
The reception took place at the Minnesota Valley Country Club. The navy touches were evident in all of the decor, and the guests enjoyed watching the couple jump the broom! Every tradition tonight was done with much enthusiasm. From the first dance, to cake cutting, to bouquet and garter toss, this warm group of friends and family lived it up!
I think I have about 200 pictures of these kids, they were a riot!
John and Fikeemah, thank you so much for having me be a part of your day! Enjoy your sneak peek!
