Charlie and Stacy were married today!
Stacy and Charlie are creatives and have a great eye, and they put their aesthetic into every corner of their wedding. They started with their love of architecture and choosing venues that were interesting and full of great design. The Bigelow Chapel was a natural choice for the ceremony and decor was kept streamlined and light. Aqua blue and olive green were the main colors of the day, with Stacy finding accessories (including awesome Badgely Mischka shoes!) that fell into that color palette.
Stacy’s Reem Acra dress from Bride Couture added a vintage twist to the day, along with her grandmother’s antique watch. More modern streamlined touches, like her french veil and headpiece from La Plume Ethere and her bouquet (designed by a friend) showed off her personality. Charlie showed Stacy what a romantic he was with his gift to her. Right before the ceremony, he had some of his love poems delievered to her, hand written on parchment. It was very easy to see how in love these two are!
During the ceremony, Charlie and Stacy poured wine to symbolize their unity, had family read poems and verses, and were given a very special treat. As a gift, one of the guests had Tim Mahoney perform the ceremony music. It was so lovely!
After the ceremony, the couple hopped into the bride’s dad’s prized 1965 Pontiac Lemans convertable for the drive to Minneapolis. This car sure got stared at as we drove through town! We did some group and romantic pictures around the Guthrie and then headed to Spill the Wine for the reception. Guests enjoyed a gorgeous summer night, delicious food, and great drinks. Stacy and Charlie wanted the focus to be on living life to the fullest and enjoying those around you, and we all did! John and I truly felt the warmth, generosity and kindness from their family and friends. Between the pub crawl outside, and the dance inside, things were just amping up when we headed home, I can’t wait to hear the stories later!
Charlie and Stacy, thank you so much for having us be a part of your wedding day, we had a fabulous time! Here are a few of our favorite images, enjoy!
