Seven years ago to the exact date, Hannah met Luke…and today she walked down the aisle to marry him.
Hannah and her mom poured their souls into this wedding, and you could tell. Every detail was thought out, carefully planned and executed. What more can you expect from a wedding photographer? We were very honored Hannah and Luke chose us to capture the events of the day, and enjoyed every minute. We even got to work with one of our favorite videographers, Northern Lights Video, and to top it all off, the weather was perfect. What a great day!
The tears started with the gifts. Luke gave Hannah a yellow rose in her bouquet and a note telling her that she is the sunshine in an otherwise gray world. Hannah gave her groom an engraved watch that he was showing off all day. Then the real waterworks happened the moment Hannah’s dad came into the room…ready to walk her down the aisle. And though Hannah and Luke were getting married in the gorgeous Bigelow Chapel, I don’t think they noticed anything but each other. After Hannah’s grandparents gave a sweet talk about marriage, the couple read their vows through tears and sudden laughter. Hannah even wiped tears from Luke’s face a couple times, and before you guys give him a hard time, we saw some of you groomsmen crying too! ; )
After the ceremony, the wedding party had some fun picture time. The color palette for the day was dark red and silver, and the bridesmaids looked stunning in their dresses. The bouquets, designed by Robert Kramer, were perfect peonies and just the right shade of red. Hannah was blinged out to the nines and (be still my heart!) had a red crinoline under her Maggie Sottero gown! See, this girl thought of everything!
The reception was in full swing at Five Event Center by the time we arrived. The reds and metallics were carried through with table settings lush with candles, custom art on the walls, a darling menu, and a unique version of a guest book. Hannah’s parents are very experienced in the hospitality industry, so it is no surprise that they commissioned one of their favorite chefs to prepare a meal that the guests went crazy for. Guests had to sing for the couple to kiss and man, they brought on the performances, there were some great ones! After toasts, cutting the cake from Queen of Cakes, and the first dances, DJ from Instant Request got people out of their seats and enjoying the evening.
Luke and Hannah, we wish you all the best and can’t wait for you to see all the great images we go today!!!! Here are a few favorites =)
