Tonight was the Thank God for Kids Gala, celebrating it’s 20th anniversary! The event took place at The Depot in Minneapolis, and had an Alice in Wonderland theme.
Guests enjoyed a high tech form of silent auction…touch screen devices were used rather than standard pen and paper. Large screens around the room showed what auction items had the most bids, and who was winning what auction. It was fascinating to watch, people really got into watching their items on the screen and waiting to see if they had to run back over and bid again. I think it added a whole new level of excitement to the silent auction.
After the silent auction, guests were ushered in for dinner and a performance by the MacPhail Youth Choir, followed by Belinda Jensen and Jason DeRusha as the emcees of the night. The live auction followed and then the group danced the night away to the music of Synergy.
Here are some images from the beginning of the night! This was such a great cause and amazing group of people to photograph =)
